The Bar Code module allows
you to create and print one or many bar codes for any Product Code in
your Blue Sky POS database. The software is purchased and

1. Determine Printer |

Install a printer that
will allow you to create and print the type of labels you need. Blue
Sky POS is certified to be compatible with the Zebra LP2824 and Zebra
LP2844 Direct Thermal Bar Code Printer. Any standard Inkjet or Laser printer (regular
printer) will also work as noted for the first two labels on the list. |

2. Determine Labels |

Standard Inkjet/Laser
labels use Avery 8.5 x 11 inch sheet feed labels. Bar Code printer stock is
single column rolled labels. The table below outlines part numbers for
the labels supported. |

3. Install Printer |

When you install your
printer, make sure to observe these key points for each printer type:

| |
-Inkjet or Laser
Printer
|
|
| |
- Install the manufacturer provided
printer driver.
- Do NOT set this printer as the
default printer.
|
|
| |
-Zebra Bar Code Printer |
|
| |
- Install the Zebra manufacturer
driver.
- Select the driver defaults except
for label size. For label size select the size of label you want to
print by referring to the above chart.
- Do NOT set this printer as the
default printer.

If you are having
difficulty with aligning your bar codes, you may need to change your
margin settings in the printer page setup (Inkjet) or zebra driver.

4. Print Bar Codes |

After you have installed
your printer, start the bar code
program by clicking on the bar code icon on your desktop or from the
System Manager. |

The step by step procedure
to create and print bar codes is outlined across the top of the
screen. Follow the procedure, starting with '1. Select Label' to begin
the process then proceed to step 2 and so on. Print a few test labels
first to see how your bar code printer is working and if the labels
are aligned. |
